Scanfile FAQ's
1) I have lost the admin password. What can I do ?
Exit out of Scanfile. Browse to the Scanfile install folder and look for the access database called user.mdb. Rename this to something like user.mdb.old. Now launch Scanfile. A new database will be created and you can login under the default of username Admin, password Admin.
2) I have Scanfile 2003 - can I get support ?
Scanfile Version 7 is still supported but to get full support, backed by Spielberg, we recommend upgrading to the latest version.
3) Our Scanfile system was originally installed by Canon, is that a problem ?
No. We can take over the support of any Scanfile solution.
4) I am considering upgrading Scanfile to another system, can I export the data I have out of Scanfile ?
In version 8 there is an Export module you can buy but before you do that, have a look at FileDirector.info the SQL based next generation Scanfile solution. There is a Scanfile migration tool and upgrade pricing is available which i very competitive.
5) I need to buy more licenses, is this possible ?
